What an incredible day on the slopes! The conditions were absolutely perfect with 12 inches of fresh powder. Here’s a breakdown of our adventure:
Morning Run
We started early, hitting the first chair at 8:30 AM. The anticipation was building as we saw the untouched powder below. The sun was just starting to peek over the mountains, casting a golden glow across the fresh snow.
Gear Setup
For today’s conditions, I was riding my:
- Skis: Volkl Mantra M6
- Boots: Atomic Hawx Ultra 130
- Poles: Black Diamond Traverse
- Helmet: Smith Vantage MIPS
This setup was perfect for these deep powder conditions!
Tips for Powder Days
- Get there early - First tracks make all the difference
- Stay in the fall line - Maintain momentum through deep snow
- Keep your speed up - Float don’t sink
- Don’t forget to breathe! - Take it all in, these days are rare
